Garden City Modernization
Older classic homes represent special challenges-- and rewards-- when being modernized. We recently put the finishing touches on a wonderful modernization of a classic home in Garden City.
This modernization included combining smaller rooms to create a grand space that included an all-new kitchen with modern appliances, a new dining area, kitchen desk with a view, expanded storage, window seat, and modernized heating (the home was equipped with steam heat). See more design details, product information, and photos of this project on our Facebook album Garden City Modernization.
Working with a professional decorator who was able to count on our craftsmanship and attention to detail, we were able to make this update just what the owners were looking for.
If you have a special project or challenge, we would love to do the same for you. Call us at 631-544-5094.
The new kitchen design, created by Melissa Fenigstein of New Age Interiors, utilized the open space created by incorporating a former front room to realize the Poz family wish list, which focused on entertaining family and friends in a comfortable, welcoming environment.
A special seating area incorporated an existing window, and adjoins the dining area. Guests can relax in comfortable arm chairs.
Miles Greer, owner of Long Island Craftmaster Corporation, says this is one of his favorite views of the new kitchen: "You can sit and relax and just take in the whole space. It is so well designed, beautiful and functional at the same time."
